Well I finally got to the HT (plug) leads, unscrewed the caps, grabbed the multimeter. The caps checked out fine, now check the coils secondary winding, they also checked out fine, apparently my HT leads are fine, or were they? I chopped 1/4" of all four leads. Applied dielectric grease to the cap and lead. She fired up instantly, #2 header was still cold hmmmm...... the plug is probably fouled, could I find the plug socket? nope. It was getting dark (6:30pm)

I may of slightly annoyed the neighbours :) but what the hell, I had to get her running on all 4 pots. Solution, rev the hell outa her. It seems to have worked (check my sig "Rocket Bike") she back fired like hell. #2 kicked in and burn all the unburnt fuel in the cylinder and the header. Now #2 header is hotter then the other 3 VIOLA!

:bunny  RRBike :yutugh2:

Gota readjust/synch the carbs again tho, Do I care? nope. I went out 4 hours later she fired up instantly, all 4 pots working :grinnod:

Have you ever fogged your cylinders? I had one that wouldn't fire and did that with ATF fluid and then sea foam. Worked like a charm.

Chris your problem could have been "gummed up rings" the ATF and seafoam could have eventually freed the rings, restoring that cylinders compression.

I think my problem was, the unburnt fuel had washed the oil off the rings = low compression, therefore no fire, the fouled plug, also my corroded connections = a low voltage to the coils, even less when the starter motor was engaged = a very weak spark on all 4 plugs. How the hell could she fire up lol

I just loooooove dielectric grease :bunny.

BTW I have a video of the back firing, the poor dog shit herself  I can't figure out how to upload it though screwy

My bad.

I took the video on my cam, its around 25 seconds long and 20MB :yikes: , so i converted it (xvid and ac3 codec's) down to around 3MB, signed up on YouTube, uploaded it no joy :headscratch: it hasn't uploaded to youtube

I ripped the "Rocket Bike" pic tho :king

While I was messing with the video the other half came in, saw the fairings safely stored in the lounge (it's dark outside, I could of scratched them) then she heard the noise from the video. "how long did that go on for" she asked. I assured her (lied) only around 2 mins. I'm in the doghouse again lol. women.

I had better not invite you & yours round for Tea as she might faint at the project bike in the lounge with the bits box & a tool box next to it .

Mawler. yeah I'm not sure what exactly I did. I didn't get much history on the bike when I bought it. I did however ride it for a season before I fogged it. Then after i fogged it I found the thread here about exhaust temps and idle mixture screws. One of my cyl was 100 deg f. lower than the other and I had to turn the IMS 7.5 turns out to get it the same. :whistle Anyway I didn't have access to a compression tester with an adapter that went down to 10mm. I have recently procured one and that is first on the list for winter.
