Re: Would you buy this?
I like the "minimalist" design. That's probably the reason I like bobbers, cafe racers, etc... What I don't like about bobbers, cafe racers, etc... is that they employ old technology that has parts that are getting much too scarce. This is a very nice blend of the old with the new.
What I don't care for is the Buell motor. 34 hp? Really? And they're talking $10k? For a Buell motor? I would prefer an SV650 motor or even a 450 single cylinder dirt bike motor. That would certainly keep the cost down and the reliability up.

Re: Would you buy this?
It's a big yes, but for me. Yes I would buy it, but it would definitely need a better motor and go for about half the asking price.

I like the idea and can respect the work involved. I agree with Darrin said about the minimalist aspect. It is sans EFI and that appeals to the carb fan in me. The price is very unrealistic given the powerplant offered. I wouldn't buy one for 10 grand when i can probably build one with a bmw 800 twin or triumph twin for less than half that.

Re: Would you buy this?
well so far I am hearing the same echo's as the other list UNDERPOWERED & OVERPRICED the poll over there is 70% no way at that price &/or that tiddler engine.
Re: Would you buy this?
i like the look but a bigger engine would make it better
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.

Re: Would you buy this?
I'd buy it if I won the lottery.... which I won't since I done play

Re: Would you buy this?
like the design but fall in the underpowered and overprices camp Geo mentioned. I would have at least gone for a parallel twin like the ninja 650r. Even as a kit where you can source your own motor there are still some old air cooled twins kicking around. As for Darrin's concern about finding parts, you do realize you have the man the A-team trained with posting above you. Geo could fab up a track bike from a huffy and a 6'er of soda

Re: Would you buy this?
YES!!
about a month ago i road an triumph bobber. Hardtail, and not much more than wheels, an engine and a seat.. Suicide shift, left foot clutch, right foot brake (unusual for an old triumph) and no front brake. No green light neutral indicator. So think about the mechanics of stopping.. left foot clutch, left hand fumbling with the shifter to find neutral.. Right foot breaking it was a blast.. i would have to install a front break as my luck would eventually run out.. what a blast!

Re: Would you buy this?
I would have to agree with everyone here. Overpriced. I can't understand if they are working to make it more minimalist why it would cost so much? I do like the idea of stripping it down and making it easier to work on. That's one thing I like about older bikes, you can pull it apart in your garage. None of this fancy/expensive computer technology.
