Call Dennis Kirk and tell them what you have, pads for a stock (4-pot calipers) 91-97 FZR600... you should get the EBC HH pads. They're not listed correctly in the DK catalog and they will have to look in the EBC catalog for the correct part number. It's the same price as all the other EBC HH pads though. They take about 250 miles to fully bed-in, but they're strong as hell. Don't flip yourself over the handlebars with them. They are sintered metal material.
Consider taking the brake calipers apart if you have time. Especially if the bike has a lot of miles or is old and they've never been cleaned. You can buy new dust seals and piston seals from PowerSportsPro.com, they're pretty expensive, but worth it. I did mine this past winter, I couldn't believe how tight and dirty the pistons were. They weren't as bad as some I've seen, but after 14 years really needed an overhaul. BNT83 has a sticky posted on the FZR600 section of the FZRArchives.com about Brakes, I followed his instructions (with pictures) step by step and it was pretty straightforward, but does take some time. Buy a couple cans of brake cleaner, have some PB Blaster and WD-40 on hand in case the caliper-halve bolts don't come out easy. Plastic-faced hammer is good after soaking the bolts overnight in PB Blaster. Then re-attach the caliper to the fork next day, and give the allen a few controlled hits with the plastic-faced hammer. Use 000 steel wool to clean and polish the pistons. Get everything as clean as possible before re-assembling.
If you really want to stop fast, get some Spiegler SS/Teflon brake lines too. They make them in almost any color you want, you have to order them thru a local shop. Fronts and rear will cost around $200. I got black lines with purple banjos to match my bike. It comes the exact length for the FZR and with the correct double banjo bolt for the Master Cylinder (front). Get some extra banjo bolts in your choice of any color for extra $, or you can re-use the stock bolts like I did, as long as they're in good, clean condition. Use Motul RF600 DOT 4 brake fluid if you do this, it's expensive but hey you just spent $200 on brake lines.
One good reason to do this is that they will last longer than the bike will. The stock rubber lines tend to swell and dry rot over time, also they let air get to the brake fluid faster, rendering it less effective over time. Still you should change your brake fluid every 2 years.
