Re: my first fzr 600
the only 2 wire connector i see is a blue and white and black and yellow......besides the coil connectors.......take a look and let me know what one you are talking about

Re: my first fzr 600
Can you see the green corrosion on the connector with the Blue Brown Red wires (your photo above)?
You need to disconnect & clean every connector you can find and apply dielectric grease to the contacts. Otherwise your guna get more problems.

Re: my first fzr 600
whats the easiest way to clean them before i put the grease on them? i should do all my connectore also right?
also have we diagnosed anything? is my ignitor bad?

Re: my first fzr 600
Check the wire I told you about under the tank for now.
EDIT:
As for the contacts I us switch cleaner, I found a product called "deoxit" it looks similar and is made in the USA by Caig http://www.caig.com/
That stuff could be an irritant, and is probably flammable. Give it @ least and hour to evaporate, especially on the VR and VR to Stator connector (3 White wire connector, next to the 2 wire connector you are checking now). Otherwise it WILL set on FIRE!!!!!!
Read the instructions on the can before use.

Re: my first fzr 600
the blue brown and red? clean them? and ohm test them? where does the bike sense to spark?

Re: my first fzr 600
ok, i tested the red blu and brown wired in ohms.......ign off blue goes to 82 then 0. brown 38 to 0. red 69 to 1.
ign on....blue 105 to 1. brown 161 to 1. red 167 to 1.
ign on....blue 105 to 1. brown 161 to 1. red 167 to 1.

YOUR NOT LISTENING TO ME!!!!!
remove the tank and test the wires i told you to. Last chance and im done ok!!!!

Re: my first fzr 600
You didn't tell me the results, how am I to know what you've done or haven't done? like you say it's difficult on line, looks like you have an 89 wiring harness that connector is for the ignition switch. No need for profanities.
You posted this, After I had told you to remove the tank and look for the 2 wire connector, you obviously hadn't

Re: my first fzr 600
I've reread this entire thread, for a self sanity diagnosis.
I made one mistake in my first post, I got the White/Blue wire wrong, should be White/Black, according to the diagram My bad.
I made many mistakes In my other replies infact every reply there after.
I tried to get an utter morons bike in working condition, Thankfully he totally refused, or was incapable to follow my instructions, provide the answers I required time and time again, which would IMO have rectified the problem.
I know what the fault is
it's the fluff fluff sprocket.
Hopefully because of his stupidity (chemically induced?) the citizens of "palm beach, FL" can stay safe on the roads, and sidewalks.

Re: my first fzr 600
Apology accepted (VIA PM)
The bike will or should run with a faulty VR (voltage regulator) even if the stator is faulty the bike will run!
Unless the VR was overcharging and fried the TCI since you have no blown bulbs E.T.C. I'd say the VR is not overcharging.
I asked you those questions in my first post, that was the reason why, to determine whether or not the VR could have fried the TCI
There is no simple test to determine if the TCI is faulty.
The questions I asked about the the fuel pump priming (which the TCI controls) & Coil voltages, could have shown a faulty TCI yours passed those tests. The only sure fire diagnosis I know of is to eliminate everything else, or put the TCI on a known working bike.
From the results you have posted
Those wires connect to the pick up coil, which signals the TCI. The TCI then switches off the ignition coils primary windings, causing the ignition coils secondary windings to dump their charge. Hence the spark plugs spark.
A reading of 1 on your ohm meter indicates no continuity (a fault) which will cause a NO SPARK scenario.
Have you checked the 2 wire connector which connects to the pick up coil (below the metal fuel tank) for corrosion and the resistance?

Re: my first fzr 600
i have a 2 wire connector under the seat that looks fine, but i have a 3 wire connector that has all white wires. its very corroted.
just so we are still on the same page, here is the deal......the bike does not start. it just cranks. all my lights and horn work. but i have no spark.
i would really like to start from the beginning, because i think i may have made a mistake.
also i dont have a batt charger, i am using juper cables to my truck, but i dont start it. thanks mawler. i gatta get this think running man....but i dont know what to do. on each step, i need to know is i need to have the ignition, or my run/start switch on.

Re: my first fzr 600
also...i watched a you tube video, and listened to a fuel pump prime. it was a repeditive noise.........mine just clicks once, and 6 seconds later clicks again.
