1994 FZR 600r Headlights stopped working? please help

hey guys hoping someone can help me out here!!

my headlights both randomly quit working, at the exact same time. everything else works.. turn signals, neutral light, oil light, brake light, etc

the fuses are fine, and i find it very unlikely that both of the bulbs wouldve burnt out at the EXACT same time, so i dont think thats the problem either


does anyone have any suggestons what the problem could be?

one thing i noticed before they completely went out is that when i was riding while i was increasing the throttle they'd start to dim / flicker

2 things. Have you checked your charging voltage lately at 3k? And second I bet if you take the right bar controls apart you will discover that your solder has come undone. Many posts about this in the recent times. Not many moons ago.

i havent checked the charging system, only because i just replaced the regulator/rectifier & battery both, but ill give it a shot.

and you say take apart the bar controls, i'm assuming you mean where my hi/lo light switch is?

Other side. The right hand bar with the starter switch.

It's something good to rule out. Sometimes even with a new VR a wire can be corroded or burnt. You'll get it.

figured it out today, it was in the hi/lo switch thing, the blue wire came un soldered

Very common problem. Had that happen on my US spec FZR600 two different times

No prob, glad it worked out for you. Funny thing is I haven't ever had this happen. Well yet. Did drive 55 miles in the rain today.
