So i need help again!!!!

Post by 92r »

ok so i finally got my bike running again with a new battery. at first it was kinda choppy but after 3 miles it started running great, but when i got half way to school and then my bikes speedometer just dropped and bike started to get choppy. i let off the throttle and then came back on it and the speedometer came back up to where it was supposed to. after about half a mile later, the bike started getting jumpy and heard a pop then it just stopped running and wouldnt crank all together. i called someone to come get me and before they got there i tried to start it again and it started right up. i ended up riding it back home but died it my drive way imediately. could this just be that i need a new voltage reg? (if so i had already ordered one and its on its way). i have a 92 fzr 600. any suggestions? :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:

Hi,
I would say your guess at the VR being fauly is right but you may want to just check the WIKI for the VR troubleshooting guide / flow chart

92r,
very wise,r6 has a similar pin out to the FZR but with 1 extra pin which you ignore.
my web page & the older post search should sort that out for you.
