FZR1000 seat question

Hi chaps..

does anyone out there know if the seat from a 89 model frz1000 will fit a 95 model without issue?.. I'm jiggered if I can tell if they are a different shape or have different mounts...or both!

no they're a different shape. Just need to look at the seat cowls to tell the difference. The earlier model like mine is more squarer in section and the later has rounded corners

I believe the '92 on up are the same. Anything earlier wil not work. Go to an OEM parts site like cheapcyclepart.com and match up model numbers for each year. That's how I figure parts matching out. Good luck.

No, they dont match up..... '94 and '95 will match up though if I remember correctly.

I *think they still will go on teh bike, but they are slightly different
