If you have a 3HE 600 with a 17" wheel, it's NOT a stock 3HE FZR600 wheel (3HE 600s had 18" wheels throughout their run). You will never get a 180 on a 4" rim. As was stated previously, 150 is the safest and 160 has been done but is REALLY tight and it depends on which brand / model of tire you're using.

Put your location in your profile. If you're outside the U.S., I'm assuming you have a 4JH FZR600 (which is the '95 / '96 Foxeye YZF600 to us Yankees) in which case I can't say for certain if you can get a 180 on there.

There went the handling... ha! There must be a different swingarm and rim on there from a newer bike.

Ah! The 400 guy says he has a 180 on the back. Hmmm, well either way, if it's a a 1WG, it's NOT a stock wheel. As most of us know, the 1WG wheels were 4" x 18" for all three years here in the U.S. so my previous assertion still stands. If he's got a 3TJ, that may be a different story. Even so, I think THEY are only 4.5" and therefore still may be a little tough to get a 180 on there. I have no first-hand experience with them though so I will defer the issue to those who are more in the know than I.

I agree though, there goes the handling. Sure does look tough though! :headbang:

Got a pic of the wheel dimension in the casting? Also, how about a better side view of the swingarm. I don't thing that's a 4" wheel. I'm also guessing that the swingarm is possibly 1st gen FZR750 or FZR1000 (which both had 4.5" rims).

*EDIT* Okay, that is NOT a 1WG 400 wheel. Notice the casting hole in the hub. The hole on your wheel runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bike (sideways). The hole on the 400 wheel runs longitudinally (front to back). I can put up a pic of mine if need be. Besides that, it's simply too wide to be a 400 wheel. I also notice that the rear caliper is underslung. However, there IS a torsion bar mounting boss on the top of the swingarm so the caliper is obviously a custom job.

Or just off a different bike. What brand are they? Got a pic of that wheel dimension? Inquiring minds want to know... :headscratch:

I think I've seen some GSXR's with the same style rim
