question about fzr600r calipers

In the states, this was the upgrade to the FZR600. In other places, this is called an FZR. Either way, many of the components of the US YZF600r fit onto the US FZR600.

question about fzr600r calipers

can i fit new calipers to an fzr600r without modifications to the fork mountings? looking at R6 calipers and is there any diferance between the yamaha calipers eg. R1,R6,Thundercat etc?

Bluespot calipers
Wavey front discs
R6 front mastercylnder
R6 lever mountings with short adjustable levers
YZF600R (thundercat) rear adjustable shock
Mild steel chain adjusters
Art can with removable baffle
Carbon fiber chain guard
Glass fiber rear seat-hump

Yep. All of the non radial ....r1/r6/thundercat blue spot calipers. Gold spot calipers. Silver spot calipers ..all bolt on. No mods needed.

yipee! :banana: thanks i can see my first mod coming on!

AWESOME thats all i can say about upgrading to R6 stoppers, the pistons move more freely they look the dogs and with sintered pads, man alive they are unreal WOOT WOOT
definitely recommend this mod to anyone with 100mm fixing centers calipers
i have got to fit new discs now just to top it all off.

From info gleaned on the YZF forums, R6 and R1 calipers bolt up. Thundercat ones do not.
