Mating a FZR1000 swingarm to a FZR400 frame with a YZF600 motor - confused yet?
Need the best option for a rear rim that is 5.5" - ideas?

Besides a 1k swingarm? I would say maybe R1 or CBR 1k..or Busa?

Re: 5.5" rim choices?
Well.... I didn't realize that the FZR1000 swingarm was more narrow than the YZF600 swinger by 1/2".
The FZR1000 swingarm is lighter by 2.5 lbs or so and that's why I wanted to use it.
I think I'll stick with the YZF600 rim. I can fit a 170 on there.... not sure what I might end up hitting though.

Re: 5.5" rim choices?
When I was researching my YZF swingarm swap at the YZF forum, there was a lot of duscussion about putting the FZR1K wheel on the YZF swingarm to fit a 180 comfortably or a 190 depending on tire. With a 190 you have to remove the hugger though. That cant be a good thing IMO. But the axle is the same diameter so making it work was pretty easy IIRC. I dont see the need for a tire that large on my FZR engine, so I didnt really go any further than that. Maybe once I add my YZF engine and 400 frame Ill go up to a 170, but Im pretty happy with tha 160 now.
