fzr 600 carbs

my fzr has 35k on clocks i believe the needle wears making it erratic on low revs ,i am taking airbox off and replacing with four k and n filters and 110mm main jet,i am in uk at sea level ,i am not racing ,any advice appreciated

Tony,
If you have worn needle jets (emulsion tubes) you need to replace them

Taking off the air box and using individual pods is going to make you do an awful lot of carb tuning UNLESS you read up the "tuned length air inlet trick" and then follow thro on it, will save you a lot of faffing with the carbs

DO NOT change any jets until you do the trick or you will spend your life "carb tweeking" and NOT riding the bike. :headscratch:

cheers george this is the article i read from the wiki As by magic no more hole in the power band!!!! running #110 mains, 2, 1/2 turns out on mixture, stock end can!i am stripping bike at weekend i will take pictures of progress im doing fork seals ,removing airbox /putting pods on ,moving expansion bottle to under tank cover and cutting tailpiece
