I've been looking for a bigger bike for some time now and came across this FZR750 on craigslist. I thought "hey bigger and a fzr!!!" so I had to have it. It's rough but rideable and I intend to restore it back to a factory look with a few bolt ons here and there. This would be totally useless without pictures so enjoy!

It's due for a complete tear down . The previous owner didn't cover anything and spray painted everything. It's got hesitation when you give throttle from a stop and a dead spot at 7k rpm. I'm pretty sure it's because I discovered today it has no airbox, filters, just open carbs....That guy was an idiot. Anyway, it'll look amazing when i'm done.

Friday is payday so i'm going to start stripping it down and see what I have to work with. It needs some parts I have a feeling will be incredibly hard to find.... Should be fun

Ok everyone time for some small updates. I've ordered a front fairing stay for an 88 fzr 1000 (hope it fits). So far thats it as i'm still researching stuff and trying to figure out what I need. I have a few question for you though.
The clip ons are on the forks but the actual handles are missing. Any way to fabricate them so I don't have to spend $100 on new clip ons?
Is the rear caliper stay on a FZR1000 the same as a 750? I have nothing for rear brakes other than a warped rotor.

The VIN is: JYA2NKE02JA00****
Lol noob question but is it safe to post a VIN?
Hmm bit risky with the VIN should have PM'd it to the guy who asked rather than public broadcast.
The bars can be easily made by any guy with a lathe really.
Nice Find

eh
same thing with plates
all public INFO
in the US regular people in most states cant track down licenese plate info, nor can they do that stuff for VIN's without the aide of a LEO
Don't worry guys... I surf here some... but mostly surf/post on the WERA racing board... My 750 vin ended in 1212...
I wrecked her and totaled it... bought it back from the insurance company... then sold it to a guy (who i cannot remember) that worked for a Yamaha shop in Murrysville, PA...
I would love to find her and get her back...
