Did you test the replacement coils in the same manner?

Well how many volts did your test light register for the coil inputs? probably would have been a better idea to use your multimeter :)

So do you have 12V @ both Red/White wire coil inputs?

The Orange Grey wires are the coil primary winding outputs. The pick up coil informs the TCI when to make/break the coil primary windings circuit, Thus the coil secondary windings fire the plugs.

Check the Orange and Gray (coil to TCI) wires for continuity. If they are both fine check the resistance of the coil pick up winding (80-120 ohms).

I went and started looking in deeper and caught something in the corner of my eye duct tape 1" wide wraped around 3 lines so i pulled the tank up and moved it back some and there was 3 white wires toghter going to to the cover on the left side with the pick-up coil wires so i undid the duct tape and there was 3 cheap bunt connectors and i clipped of one at a time and re connected with my shink/wrap bunt connectors and then cleaned ground up. sprayed a little starting fluide in and there was FIREEEEEEE :) and then i hit is a gain with alittle more started fluide she was alive YEAH YEAH YEAH i knew i would have some blue smoke out exhuast and come to beleive not as much as i though after about 2-3 mins no more smoke just ruff idle now with the choke open sits at like 3k full choke and choke half around 1.5k so let here run for like 10 mins mind you it is 10:30 at night and my nabiors about 1/8th mile go to bed early i called my co-worker and piped him :) I told him once it was started i would call him no matter the time and make him deaf lol so yeah now time to put back toghter yet again but this time she is running BOUT TIME so what would be some good advise for this bike it has not been ran in about 6-8months..I have change plugs with NGK gap .028 changed oil got new high test fuel and fuel filter in her and brand new k+n filters. What should i do to trat the carbs? 2 caps of seafoam? of just spray with carb cleaner? i will be taking her out alot after this weekend when i go and get my lineces. Thank you for all your help

The 3 White wires are from The VR, they connect to the 3 phase stator. I had the same issue with the stator plug, I soldered my wires, I suggest you do the same, those wires carry in the region of 60 Volts AC. We don't want any fires, especially close to rubber fuel hoses! Did you check the pick up coil connector for corrosion? It's unlikely it was the stator wires preventing starting.

As for the carbs, Seafoam isn't available in the UK, so I've never used the stuff, Seafoam or carb cleaner may do the trick, if not The float bowls could be gummed/varnished up due to standing, the carbs could need stripping/cleaning.

Charge the battery with a motorcycle battery charger (not car charger) if you haven't already. Low battery can cause running issues.

When you get your licence take care, Glad you got her running.
