92 rear rim question

Post by burns556 »

hey everyone had a quick question i have a rear rim off my 92 that says on it 18x4.00 and also says 92 as the year on it which i know is an 18 inch by 4 inch rim well i bought a used rim off of fleabay that is a rear fzr rim and came off a 93 it has an 18 inch tire and looks correct but doesnt say the year or 18x4.00 on it and i dont have the old tire off of it yet but side to side and height wise it looks good as wel as the cush drive and sproket fit in it ok and the rotor holes line up fine should i worry about it or am i good to go

Not sure, but it should say 18x4.00 on it. If not (which you state it does not) I'd be a little skeptical. Do the two rims look IDENTICAL other than color? If it is off of an 89 FZR it's an 18x3.5. If it's off of a 1000 than it could be 18x4.5, Get the tire off and measure the width of the rim.
