the stuff you looking for is also referred to as copper antisieze the copper is made for high temp uses which is copper in color while regular antisieze is gray and is not for high temp uses using grey antisieze in hi temp applications makes the product cake up and just doent work as great as the copper stuff i use it on a regular basis for glow plugs which are steel and which are installed in aluminum heads with the copper they always come out but if you have nothing grey will work but the copper is my first choice hope that helps

Not trying to pick an arguement but to just make a point.....

The never seez is good up to 2200F and is more than up to the job. Its easier to get in the US than the UK and alot cheaper too. The valve only needs approx a small spoon full to lube and 2 coats a season will surfice. I've personally tried both copperslip and Neverseez and IMHO the grey wins hands down every time...lasts and is effective for longer. Most of the lads on our site use the grey Neverseez, in fact one of the members works in the aircraft industry and uses it at work; where he deals with some seriously high temperatures in critical situations. He makes up refurb kits for the valve with a small amount of grease and some stainless cap screws as replacements for the originals, and sells them on the UK forums.
Hope this helps
If its not broken it dont need fixing
