10.32v batttery needs charging?yttaf wrote:I checked the plug end of the tci unplugged & has 12v to both orange & grey wire. I plug the tci back in & turn it over while checking the orange & no movement & still .34v & went up to .44 while turning over. Then I tested the grey wire had 10.32v & went dows to 8.3v while cranking
have you checked the pick up coil resistance, to eliminate the coils check their primary and secondary windings if you haven't already, apart from that im stumped.
Re: someone do a quick voltage check for me?
battery is fully charged as I keep my battery tender on it. Plus if I get 12v without the tci hooked up it shouldn't be less when it is hooked up?
I haven't checked my pickup coil but I know it's nasty. There is the metal stripe on it, well it's all gunked up & shit. I tried cleaning it up but it didn't help, so I guess I need to test that, but I'm probably gonna guess that it's bad...
As for testing my coils my ohm meter doesn't go to kilohms so I can't test them correctly. The setting would be 1K ohms right?

Re: someone do a quick voltage check for me?
few hours ago you had 12v on grey @ TCI, that's why i mentioned the batteryyttaf wrote:hmmm wonder why I have 12v at 1 but not the other??? My replacement digital ignitor bad?
read page #1 the coil ohm values are there.
Re: someone do a quick voltage check for me?
yeah if I disconnect the tci I still have 12v at the grey wire. I plug it back in then it drops to 10.34v
