Swignarm swaps and grinding

Post by Freestyle72 »

OK so as with any of the swingarm swaps, some grinding is involved. How exactly of some of you guys who have done swaps gone about the grinding? Did you use a grinding machine or how else do you make sure you have a perfectly flat surface for the swingarm to move against.

Angle grinder, tape measure, a machinists square(90* piece of steel), patience, and a steady hand. Some guys will make jigs, or various fabbed measuring devices to help.
