Where are you located? You might be somewhere where someone could just come and try their VR on your bike. When you checked the voltage between the 3 wires they were all between 40-60? I ask because IMO 11 volts is more than enough to fire the bike. You could unhook the head lights (see if the batt stays at 12 to fire the bike) I had problems at 10.4 but I think mine now goes to 11. Of course I can't get mine to fire after taking the carbs apart but that's a whole different story.
