issue starting after hoseing off bike

Post by _Will_ »

So I hosed off the bike same after doing some brake work and now it turns over and tries to start firing 2-3 times before giving up. I'm sure someone has made this same mistake before. What did I damage and how can I fix it?

Were the fairings off or on when you did this? I'd check the resistance on the ignition coils and the pick up.

fairing were off, just pulled the plugs and they had gas all over them so fuel is getting in. putting in some new ones and some fresh dialectic grease plus charging the battery since it's got to be down from the starting attempts
