On FZRs they used two different locations for the battery ground...one was the frame just below the battery.....the other location is the upper right rear engine case bolt.
The engine grounds to the frame through it's mount bolts...pull these out one at a time and clean them up (wire wheel)...goop them up with dielectric grease.
If your battery ground is grounded to teh frame consider switching to the engine case bolt.
Starter mount flANGE should be clean of paint as well.

okay mine was grounded to the engine so i went ahead and pulled the engine back out and i sanded down the frame and engine spots where they touch and i will re assemble it tomorrow and try it again if this doesnt work then i give up so i will fill you all in tomorrow! wish me luck
