voltage regulator- newby Q

My Bike wont start unless it is jumped then it will die after about 5-10 minutes i was originally thinking it was my stator. when i would try to start it all i would here is a clicking sound.I had my battery tested and it was ok so if it is my voltage regulator where is it located on my bike? I own an 95' FZR600

I'll hit this before anyone else does. As a lot of the guys will tell you the FZR is very VERY voltage dependent. Slight decreases in battery deep charge will keep it from starting. You have the same problem I have on my 95.

As for the location of your VT, take of the tail panel on the left. (The one with the key hole to pop off your seat.) You will see it right there. Did you have a voltage meter on the bike while you were just trying to start it? My battery showed good too when I took it to the battery shop to get it tested. Hope this helps.

Yes, yes that panel was the one I was refering to. And I'm just glad to help. I know everyone else gets tired of answering the easier questions, but it makes me feel useful so I'll gladly help, since I was helped before.
