GH:- Altitude & Temp compensators for your carbs

Post by yamaha_george »

http://www.holtzmaneng.com/

worth a look if you live in high country or ride in hot & cold conditions thro the seasons

OR you can DIY:-
The jet is silver soldered to a wire cable. The top of the carb has to be
machined to accommodate the second cable. the cable goes to my instrument
panel where I just twist the knob one way or the other to get it in tune.
The total adjustment is about 8 turns.

I'm not really understanding what is being adjusted.

If you solder a wire cable to your jet, are you just turning the jet in and out?

I'm a bit confused.

Olie,
I have NOT actually seen this BUT from what has been said you re-set your needle by an infinitely variable means of a screw adjustment not on a set of preset clips grooves.
