Motor Replacement

Post by warriormagee »

I have a '90 FZR that had been sitting for several years before I bought it. The motor is stuck. I used Marvel Mystery Oil and automatic transmission fluid in the spark plug holes, but could not get it unstuck. I don't know much about motorcycle engine repair, so I figure a new motor is the best way to go. What model year FZR motor will be a direct bolt-in for a 1990 FZR. What other motors will fit in a 90 FZR with no to little modification.

Any year FZR engine will work, or u can upgrade to a early year YZF engine. The YZF engine will need a little more work than getting a replacement FZR engine.... my2cents

Where are you? I have a motor sitting in my garage, and chances are there are dozens of board members who can say the same.
