here are the progress pictures. the 92 upper should look pretty cool once its all done up, it took about 8 hours of sanding down all the spray paint somone did. now i have to fill in the cracks with plastex. i have in place where the custom small lights will go. R6 rim centered to fit in the yzf600r swingarm....not a easy job unless you get these nice wheel spacers made. i designed them, modking made them...so any 99-02 R6 rim is a bolt on now to replace the 5.0" yzf600r rim.
i fixed the upper last night with plastex. i will need more to finish the light opening off but i did get that 2/3rds of the way finished also. i looks super cool with the lights in.
just ordered another bottle of plastex...i ran out. by next weekend the upper will be 100% repaired and customized. i need new lights and might have modking make me a outer machined housing to hold the lights so i can change them easy if bulbs blow.
i will be running halogen 2 35w bulbs for sure...id like to try and get 50w ones. i couldnt get HID's that were 2" in diameter that would fit in that dirtbike head light assy. the bulbs should be brighter then the stock fzr ones anyway.
welded a 1.50" boss onto the swingarm for the R6 brake stay and i taped that shit about 1.25" had to re machine one of my modking spacer .060" since my stright edge was not stright i found out, pressed in my steering stem, cut my foot pegs down .500" to clear the swingarm and cut .250" thick spacers for the stock controls in case i need extra room for the yzf600r swingarm.
all i need now are new bearings for the swingarm and bearings for the steering stem and it all can be bolted on!
