I circled the little bar I'm talking about and how it fits into the clipons. What can you guys tell me about this? Do I have to get a new set of handles if I want to change the position. Thanks for any help, being a noob is difficult.

The roll pins are just a fail safe for putting the bars in place.fzrbrandon wrote:You can just grab yourself some Vise-Grips and pull those pins out. They are only there to help put the bars back on straight. If the bike goes down on either side the pin will get sheered right off anyways so they're not there for any other reason. However, be careful with moving the bars forward like that as you'll lose some bar clearance for when you need to move the bike around. Personally, I think the position they are in is optimum. If anything, a lot of guys move the clip-ons straight down under the top triple. I did this on my '89 way back when and I'd do it to my current street ride (in my signature - shameless plug!) but my back just isn't what it used to be! LOL!
