what the hell is the r6 header made out of i went threw 4 to 5 hack saw blades, then i gave up and used a cut off wheel on my grinder just to cut threw the connection pipe between cylinders 2 and 3. and i dont mean i just dulled the blades i wore off the teeth then streching it sucked i used some heat and got it done. on the plus it fits the yzf engine as well if theres any difference seems a bit low has about 3 inches between the exhaust and oil pan but might just look weird without fairings. i dont have any nuts for the header studs though does anyone know what size and thread they are so i can get some tomorrow from the hardware store. i also gonna need to make a small pipe for between the header and the muffler i have the r6 short can which i might not end up using my rear sets get in the way i might got with a high mount to get it up, im thinking of using it for a stunt bike i drive all day and live 45 miles from work so i dont ride much plus i used to ride bmx stunt and flatland so i think it would be fun and i cant stop thinking about it from that video 95fzr600 put up its all your fault you know.

well the header is bolted up not permanent cause the nuts i got look crappy but its there for now. also mounted the radiator, i made a bracket for the lower mount out of 2 inch alumminum that bolted to the peice that was to recive the stock yzf lower mount. it was 12 bucks and i hate to have to buy anything i can make, also bent up some half inch alumminum for the top mounts i bolted them to the top bolt on the engine brace. the right hose was fighting me all the way it seems to want to go where the engine brace is so i had to make it work as best i could. ill put up some picks as soon as i can. i got the house to my self yesterday and today so im also tiling the bathroom and cleaning up other peoples messes. it is nice to have a break from the kids though, even though im working threw it.

Nope, the non-inverted forks are not 50mm. More like 43mm I think. I do not think they will fit the YZF600 triple. I believe the spacing between the forks is different. Could be wrong though.

But you might be able to change the bearings or have a sleeve and new spacers made so it will work. Although, the YZF600 uses a cable driven speedometer and the R6 does not. So that will create issues.

oh yeah i dident think of the wheel width that makes sense. forgot to put the plate behind the vr i put it up there while i was tring to put in the wireing and forgot about it nice catch. the yzf wire harness deffinatly makes you get creative to put it in the connectors and wire lengths are all off and things dont reach. thanks for the help. have you been on vacation or something havent seen many posts from ya pimp.

i need a little help the two pairs of wires that go to the coils for the yzf harness has one pair for each coil one a red with a black strip and orange, and one red with a black strip and a grey. i need to know what pair go to what coil for which cylinders. the cylinder numbers are on the plug wires but i have a 50 50 chance of getting it wrong so it will be wrong if i guess thanks

Here is a simple answer. The orange wire goes to cylinder #1. The similar wires go to cylinder #3 & #4. The coil grouping goes Cylinder #1 with #4 - #2 with #3. So the gray wire goes to Cylinder #2.

You won't really hurt anything by having them switched around. The bike just won't fire up, you'll flood the cylinder, and foul the plugs. That's all.

wow i havent added to this in a while with everyone else posting i thought i might aswell. i havent even finished and im already changing things i obtained a set of inverted forks and a 5 spoke r6 front wheel to match the rear and a vaypor gauge. i have been thinking of going with dirt bars cause i have some and i dont have the clipons for the r1 forks havent decided yet. probally gonna get a belly pan and make an under engine exhaust might change the tail aswell i dont know yet. im also thinking about a different type of mount for the top of my rear shock that if it works out might be up for sale as a kit. Hey did you have to space those rearsets out at all to keep fom hitting the swingarm? And do you know if the stock rearsets would have hit?

also one more question are they 05 GSXR1000 reaersets or 04s? because they are different. I have been eyeing those rearsets for some tim enow because I had noticed they had a very close eye to eye distance like the FZR and suspected they would almost bolt on like you discovered.

they are 05 rearsets i did space themout about 1/4 to 3/8 on an inch because the leavers hit the engine brace i dont kow if the stock ones would fit i never tried to put them on but when i put them up to it they seem like there gonna be close
