Made a new part today with the lathe
First attempt wasn't bad. It fits perfectly. I'm just not super happy with the top/closure. I want it to thread in but I don't have the ability to do that yet. Such is life. This one will get sold off anyway. Anyway, enjoy.

no need to thread it, you solved the problem already just use another O ring but in the top.
I would reduce the thickness of the wall as well ( the screws in metric can go down to 3mm diam threads so in a smash (God forbid ) the reservoir does not smash the perch by being too robust but rather the reservoir acts as the sacrificial bit.
Just My 2c on a neat job.

I could make it shorter and it does double as the reservoir. The issue with making it shorter would be bleeding. It would be very difficult to keep the res full enough to bleed. Although once bled it would be awesome and small and out of the way.
The problem with wider is the amount I'd have to turn down to make it work. In Streetfighter mag they did a two piece design which would be super easy to do and make it wider but I was trying to do a one piece design to ensure no leaks. However, doing it that way took a whole lot longer to make it than it would have with a two piece.95FZR600 wrote:I agree. Shorter and if you could make it wider to to resemble stock ones. Other than that, looks great!R3TARD wrote:DUDE, 1st customer I need one and how much are they? but yeah can u make it shorter and does this double as the resevoir?
So, I'll see what a two piece design looks like with a wider res I guess.

TK,
do you have details of the 2 piece in Streetfighter mag. I subscribe but its delivery is erratic to say the least.
Thanks

That's nice!
You gonna polish it up on the lathe-give it some bling factor to go withthe custom factor?

I was thinking powder coat. I've never been very bling. Although I may polish one. I've made two so far.
