I've been noticing a sludgy greasy buildup accumulating on my "driver" side fork. I tried wiping it off the other day to see if it had been there for ages and I just hadn't noticed it yet but it's building back up. It gathers into a ring up near the max compression point of the forks.
Do I need to do my fork seals? Should I be safe to ride until I get around to replacing them (assuming I don't drag it out for weeks)?
If I do seals, I'm thinking about a set of race tech springs at the same time.
sludgy greasy buildup on fork, time to do seals?

I hope you have more luck with race tech than I did, They do not answer phones and on international rate and stupid phone systems it was getting expensive. Emails seems sales are too good to be bothering answering ones from outside the states.
I am getting emulators from YSS a Thai company of shock makers with an excellent rep. with classic bike people.
If I can get fork springs made to 0.85Kg/mm anywhere else than race tack then I will.
