I had tons of stuff in a friends basement and constanlty moan that all the crap I ordered way back when, when I was allowed to spend money....is coming from overseas and taking forever :whistle

I look at it this way. I sold my FZR, a project FZR and got a bike that has, as standard equipment, a lot of great features - more than what I could have put on the FZR AND at a lower price. I spent way too much on the FZR.

PLUS, I'm actually getting work done on the basement. lol...

I do miss the FZR, but the GSXR is a really nice bike. That's not to say that my son won't start off Track Days on an FZR. That will be in 3 years time, so I'll have to get him a FZR project bike within a year or 2.

All in good time. The one thing about the FZR is, that once you own one, you know they retain their value, are easy enough to work on and can be modded quite easily. Plus, we already have the greatest wealth of FZR info right here!
