the FZR 400 I built

Post by moparcolt »

I bought this bike with no bodywork and a blown head gasket from a local race and fitted it with new fiberglass racing body panels, made a new exhaust from the header back, had the exhaust ceramic coated and then painted the whole thing a custom mixed orange, metal flake with pearl added. It was awesome it made 87HP on the dyno. I sold it to a racer in Australia!

Welcome to the site!

All that work... I hope you came out on top.

That really looks awesome! I would love to try that at a track.

I'm going to pontificate here, and say that's a '98+ TZ250 tail section.

Yes the tail is a TZ 250 piece the front is shark skinz racing glass for a FZR 400. The wheel on the back was from a GSXR 600 I believe. Much wider than stock.

The bike was ridden to a couple of track championships at Nelson Ledges In OHIO
Awesome bike.

And Yeah I made some monety on it, it was a really fun project!
