Few problems on the fzr600

First of all this is my first time posting, first time fzr
The forum has been helpful so far, but i havent found anything on the following problems

1) riding at low speed, the steering seems a bit stiff, i have a hard time trying to steer left and right, now i know the "no weight on the yolk" sayin, but damn its pretty stiff like i have a flat tire. maybe spray some wd40 on the stem?

2) with the clutch fully out, i hear a clicking sound in the motor, clutch in, no noise. someone told me it was crushed bearings?

3) when im trying to launch the bike (clutch only) it stalls, if i give it gas till 1500rpm it goes fine, but clutch alone will not move the bike forward, clutch replacement? or can i just adjust the idle. the bike idles at 900-1k rpms (this doesnt really bug me but its a bit annoying on uphills

any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

1) Definitely check your front bearings. Yours could be too tight, or they could be notched / flattened. Too loose quickly leads to flat spots pounded in...

3) This is a small bore high-rev engine. You can't lug it off idle like a John Deere - I mean, Harley Davidson. You will need to give it some gas to get it rolling. 1500 is *nothing*; I launch my TZ holding 11k! I believe the idle should be 1200-1600 rpm.

thanks i will def check the front bearings, prev owner lowsided @50km/h. its good to hear that i dont need a new clutch soon.
another question, where is the idle screw? sorry im such a noob at this

i can launch my fzr off just clutch...i just have to be very very slow about letting it out...

idle screw location....its on the clutch side of bike right under the main frame right inbetween the fuel tank and carbs. you can use your fingers to reach in there and turn it right (clockwise) to raise idle

dont use wd40

it will push whatever grease is left out of the bearing

mine vibrates horribly i packed the bars withlead pellets and i kinda helped but not that much i was thinking to try to sync the carbs but i havent gotten around to it thought it might be the clutch basket but it lookes fine so im not sure what mines about you could try some of these it might help

mine dont...never had a had a problem with headshake either...going at like 30-80mph ill purposely shake the bars side to side in the hopes of getting headshake and crashing...but...for some reason it doesnt...
maybe because my front is lowered and the rear is raised...putting more weight on the front tire so it makes it more stable when moving. I guess... i heard it makes it more unstable at high speeds though...

R1 forks are like 2" shorter than fzr forks, and I have mine lowered 1" with the r1 forks...so thats like a 3" drop from stock. and the bones in the back raise it up about 1.5"-2".

dude, i bought some cheap ass polished bar ends off ebay and put em on my bike. they look cool but i noticed ALOT more vibration in the bars after i removed the factory bar ends. if your experiencing alot of vibration in the bars then take your clipons off, remove the bar end, pack em with sand, reinstall the bar end and slap the clipons back on the bike... its what the state troopers here in nevada do to their bikes.

sweet so im guessin the clipons are hollow. youve answered another question, im thinking of getting some bar-end mirrors.

Would soft front shocks have any effect on the steering being sticky?

A proper carb sync will do wonders in reducing vibration at the bars...
