If you want to swap the subframe to the FZR frame it's not going to be "easy" they don't just bolt up. check with mrfreeze, we swapped an R1 and R6 subframe onto the FZR frame. You will need a welder.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but that just looks kinda sketchy.

I have to aggree.. Agreed I think the way I'm doing it is a little sketchy. the best way is to get a matching r6 tail, subframe, fender. cut off the fzr frame and weld on attachment points for the r6 subframe

Agreed May not be as "easy" but a whole lot safer

G,
It broke its tabs in an endurance race in the last hour and going into corners was use the frame rails as the seat moved with my butt & would hang up on a broken tab as I slid back up have to use extra force to get it back by counter pushing with the bike & my thighs. very hairy feeling for sure

Did a good impression of John Wayne's walk for a couple of days after

then i would do what target did, because the subframe cant fail because the fzr subframe is still there...so even if the r6 subfrrame on there failed, then your still sitting on the fzr subframe so no worries there

Shredex,
The BEST way is to make sub frame mounting lugs as per the later model bikes and mount that to the sub frame with bolts & safety pins or wires.
What happened to me is that the actual seat NOt the sub frame broke loose so as I moved arond hanging off the bike in corners it moved with me but gave grief when I tried to come back up right so it was snagged to my left at all time making right handers a real bitch as the seat dug in behind my knee with me wondering if it would suddenly snap free to the right pitching my body weight right on 120mph RH corners .

Not the most of relaxing rides, but buggered if I was gonna lose the 2nd place that our team had with a DNF of slip down way down with a pit stop.
