Here in Canada, we were always told Americans were not too aware of what goes on outside of their own country, but this is mind-boggling... On the other hand, The TV show is going to make sure to show only the worst/funniest answers. I've lived in the U.S. for 2 years (partial athletic scholarship), and I can say that most of the americans (the ones in college at least) were not that stupid...

I couldn't agree with you more.. They are looking for the stupid responses.. It makes it funnier but the sad fact is many don't know some pretty important basic facts about world knowledge.. There are 23 countries in "america" not including the caribbean..

What's sad is that none of those people technically qualify as mentally retarded. There are autistic people who can't tie their own shoes who are more intelligent than these idiots. There is a lot to be said about the media and such, and it's funny. By adulthood with our first world education system, anyone that shows ANY American a map with Australia renamed Iraq (or any country) should be laughed at and corrected. I could understand some of the smaller countries like Sri Lanka even Italy for some folks, but damn to not recognize a continent is inexcusable for anyone with a High School education in America.

The are a few videos linked from that one that perform the same stlye test with British citizens and the results are fairly similar, still a good laugh.
