For a street bike, there isn't anything particularly wrong with the stock clutch. I don't know the prices of anything, so you may find one cheaper than the other. I do know my left forearm always hurt after I swapped out the clutch on my old RZ350 for Barnett springs.
1989 3LN1 FZR250R, currently stock.

thanks for the write up. just order oem stuff from dealer all the plates minus the spring was $87.95 out the door. i will get them in Monday.looking to get the spring when i get payed friday.we will see how long thy take to get here

OEM plates for the clutch
springs I run half and half as I said
My comment about all Barnett springs is fairly universal you need to be Popeye for any kind of reasonable ride

My comment about all Barnett springs is fairly universal you need to be Popeye for any kind of reasonable ride
Yamaha steels were considered the best factory clutch steels of the period.

so it sounds like everyone is saying full stock replacement with only possible change being Barnett springs. Thanks for the help. sorry mike94fzr600 kind of jumped in on this to get a lot of my questions solved to. didn't mean to thread jack. where is the best place online in you're guys opinion to get the parts from?

BTW, I'm running a stock clutch basket, flywheel, and OEM steels, but I'm running EBC Kevlar "Street Racer" friction plates and springs.
Cheaper than Barnett and bites really well, but if you get stuck in stop and go traffic, you'll be hurting less if you throw it in neutral and just push the bike.

Yup sorry had Daddy duties just as I finished the WIKI piece please add the pictures by all means .
I must admit the adding of stuff to a prior WIKI page proved to be challenge and it does not do Don TZ125's piece justice.
BUT I did not want 2 clutch pages but rather give the readers two options on one page :-
