We pulled the engine today and put the forks, shock/knuckle/dog bones, and stay on the good frame, and took the wiring harness off ....unfortunately i didn't have my camera!! I'll get pics up soon. Tomorrow we are pressure washing the motor and painting small items. it's really starting to look like a bike now, we mocked up he tank, seat and hugger, these things would look sick as a CHOPPER lolol

I should be able to ride it by the end of the week!
And then we can see if I need a new clutch...JOY!

Jax, PMF, or ABS, one of you said i was going to have to shave something off the knuckle??? Maybe i missed it?

Got some good stuff done today fellas! Cleaned the motor and got it in place. The paint is drying on the engine cradle bar things , and the caliper bracket. She's really starting to come together! Tomorrow i'm cleaning the carbs and replacing a couple o-rings. Gonna drill out the freeze plugs too so we can do the poor mans jetting.

Looks good. It'll look better with the centers of the rotors black along with the fork lowers.

iv got a stage three jet kit with
*115 mains
*52.5 starters

you dont need to go that high.
im not sure if i still have a richness problem or if its just the bad gasket so i would say 115 to be the highest you go.
i forgot what stock was but its not bad to keep stock jets. the bigger number just means it lets a little bit more fuel in at a time and you only use a higher number if your running lean.
just try the poor mans jet kit with the needle spacer things and see how that helps...all that will do though is allow more fuel in at a time as well.
set mixture screws at 3 turns out.
make sure floats are all the same height at about 24mm
then put it together and sync them and see how she runs.

i know, lol, im telling you stuff you allready know...

Do the center of your rotors too (but not the rivets). They'll look good as well tied in with the black fork lowers. Ask me how I know.. :whistle

Got my YZF600r emgo mirrors from mxryder21 today. They feel solid, they are made well.

I gotta go find spacers for my pegs and rear brake master. Any ideas??

thanks man, i think blacking out the frame is the #1 way to make FZR's look a little more modern.

I found mine at lowes and cut them. I didnt want to use 5 to 6 washers and wanted something more solid at the pegs so I used those bushings that Lowes sells. You can find them in the nuts and bolts aisle. They have a really good selection.
sweet, i think i'm gonna stop buy ACE first cuz i need the bolts to be longer too, since the spacers have to be about 3/4" long. I'll go to lowes if all else fails
