Intake valve fail, causes a miss at near all RPMs. Black shit coating the intake valve. I'm guessing it died or it's out of spec.

no idea yet, i broke the plug off in on that cylinder too, so out it all comes

Check the clearances BEFORE you pull the head. Calculate what shims you need with the head mounted...If you check with teh head loose I dunno if it will change as the head is torqued..but it may. And it's just good practice. Shopes that set them (heads) up professionally will use torque plates.

I didn't want to do it that way considering a few of them had junk on them and that one was just f*ck.

A plug was broken off in cylinder 3 so it had to come off anyway. When it's all clean then I'll check it and re-spec them.

What is the range about for stock shims? The downed one has a 181.
