Handguards
Ok, th 1000 gets cold at 30 degrees in the morning. anyone found handguards that will mount to clip ons? theres not enough room to mount the normal style.

Re: Handguards
Not sure what you mean by the "normal style" but these are popular for MX bikes. Not meant to keep your hands warm, but they definitely do help stop the wind. Some styles mount to the lever perches so I'm sure they'd work on an FZR too.

Re: Handguards
How about adding some detachable fairing extensions to deflect the wind farther out....

Re: Handguards
never heard of extensions. normal handguards attach at bar ends and have a clamp that goes around bar near controls. on my 1000 there isnt enough room to put a clamp.

Dispatch riders have a big mitten round the bar & control that stay on the bike you slip your hand into ride . Some makes are heated as well.

Re: Handguards
As far as handguards for sportbikes, I know the Buell XB9 CityX has motocross style hand guards. Might be worth looking into.

Re: Handguards
You want some handlebar muffs...

A bit unsightly, but they do the job excellently, and just slip off when the weather warms up. It's win-win!
