Re: Last Winters build. (From archives) (56k Beware)
The only spoiler I'll give is that to the best of my knowledge it's never been done on an FZR before....and I'm talking about at least 4 different components.

What front forks are those that you have on there????
Re: Last Winters build. (From archives) (56k Beware)
Are you putting that mill to work? Tell us something here.
Re: Last Winters build. (From archives) (56k Beware)
Front is from an 02-03 R1.FizzNation wrote:What front forks are those that you have on there????
Mill is still not running. Waiting on a capacitor that will hopefully fix the fuse popping issue. I have designs galore for it though. The 400 build will probably be a long time as I have to finish 2 other bikes and a scopper before I can really start working on that one. Plus my plans didn't work out so well of having some money saved up to put towards parts so it's on hold for a little bit.95FZR600 wrote:Are you putting that mill to work? Tell us something here.

How has that Radiator Cap Help Up? I have a R6 radiator on its way, But If I can do what you did, I think it would be cheaper. and I can just re-sell it on ebay or CC. O... by the way How did you do it?

Re: Last Winters build. (From archives) (56k Beware)
Iv looked into this allready because I have to re-locate my cap in order to do the r1 tank swap.Genesis wrote:How has that Radiator Cap Help Up? dont qoute me on this.
He does not advise that anyone does what he did. reason being...
the fzr cooland cap is made of plastic and he jb welded it to the metal radiator.
He said that it leaks.
He told me to go to a junk yard and grab a old car radiator cap which is metal and have it welded to the fzr radiator.
Id do it that way, and also, the high heat in the radiator might warp the plastic cap.
if you could get the r6 radiator to work, that would be BA!
how much did you buy it for?

Re: Last Winters build. (From archives) (56k Beware)
I don't know if the R6 will fit. I had one and it wouldn't so I sold it. I also have the R1 front so there is less room up front. You may be able to sneak it in. But yeah, I don't suggest going the way I did. I think it would work if I had done a taper on the plastic cap and pressed it real tight like into the radiator and then used the pipe glue stuff I found. Still, I'd use it as a last resort if you can't get the r6 to fit. Otherwise I am working a new way with the stock radiator. I'll keep you updated.Genesis wrote:How has that Radiator Cap Help Up?
