Do you have experiance with that gauge? I like mine but I would not buy another one. Get the bike running first before you hook the gauge to the wire harness. With a bad battery and probably a bad VR, it fired a circuit in the gauge somewhere when I was trying to get the bike started up.
I have some experience with koso gauges, but not with that one. I'll keep in mind your advice buddy. All i want to do now, it's to mount the gauge on the the bike. That's the last job i have to do, before i remove the fairings for painting. Thanks again for the advice.

thats the gauge I was wanting to get, but once I found out it was $450, I just kinda drifted away.
hope it works out well!

what does the speed run off of? wheel/magnet? or crankcase sensor?

i would think the crank sensor .. that setup looks like it cost too much just too hook up a magnet at the wheel .. but hey ya neva know i guess...

Magnet placed on the wheel or rotor. I've got one and don't really like it. It does look good though.

i had bought a cheap bicycle digi speedometer once that had a magnet , had superglued it to one of the rotor bolts then like a dumbass took my wheel to swap a tire out and the guy ended up loosing my little magnet piece

Well guys, sorry for the late response. Let me tell you in a few words what happend those days i was out:
A couple of months ago, i broke up with my girlfriend. She went to the army (millitary nurse) and she found out that she wants to live her life.

So, i let her live her life.

BUT... i couldn't stand just like that and whine for my life. So, what was next to do and pick up myself, was to find other girls. And this time.... it's only sex. Nothing more, nothing less. And i'm doing fine!!!! I found my good old self, and i feel great.
But that has an affect on the bikes progress. I'm a lot behind. All i could do those 2 months, involved the brake lines. See photos below. Any new pics, you'll be the 1st to know and see.

We take the old brake tubes
Image

And we move the rust away
Image

Then cover the points we don't want to paint
Image

Cut the edges off
Image

Then we paint with primer
Image

And then with colour

Got to work on fairings. Put 'em litlle upper.

Then welded the upper and lower parts
Image

I close that hole witch was for r6 engine
Image

Then i put some putty to make the fairing curne smoother
Image

That radiator it's from zxr400. Didn't liked the colour though

Thus i turned it to red!!!

Are you sure you are building a race bike Cris? Or will this end up in a museum somewhere? Too clean my friend. Too clean.
