what's the best place to get the leak-proof fork seals

Post by match417 »

I'm thinking about going through denniskirk.com to get them, but if there is a cheaper place that someone knows about can you let me know please?

wow..35 bucks? I remember paying 16 from the stealership when I did the seals on my old bike. Might want to look up Flanders seals or check ebay. Probably cheaper.

it's not the price i'm looking at, it's the quality. i've heard good things about these seals. the dealership has to order the stock ones for my bike. flanders seals? how are they. I might just go with the stock ones. they only have to last until i get the money up to put some different forks on.

I honestly have not heard good things about leak proof brand seals. Flanders I have and from what i read they are made to OEM specs and look identical to them. As long as the forks are cleaned and prepped properly they will last a very long.time.

I've used about 40 sets of the LeakPruf seals on my own and customer's bikes over the years. Never had an issue with them. They have two grades..the moly ones are about $35.

The BEST thing about them is no seal driver, no seal driving. Press 'em in place with your thumbs.

I have always bought them thru Dennis Kirk.
