oh, there was a HUGE diff in power....
your non exsistant low-end will sore threw the roof..
the pulling power that thing gave was amazing...
I was suprised that just the exhaust had to do with so much of the power
I wouldnt know about the clearance issue...i didnt have an issue with my r1 fairings

I'm guessing that year would between 99-2003 for r6, I found some on ebay. I think I'm going to give it a try.

I got Thundercat 4-2-1 front pipes on mine (stainless aftermarket, make unknown) and they fit straight on the FZR, barring some minor bracket wizardry at the rear support/mount under the engine, just forward of the swingarm pivot. R6 front pipes can be modified to fit and are becoming popular.
Once the fronts are sorted, be they FZR, FZR-R, Thundercat or modded R6, then you've a huge choice of end cans - so long as the diameter of the clamp end is the same, and you can fit or make a bracket to support it, virtually anything'll go. I have a Carbon Can Co stainless oval originally intended for an early R6.

First wow yoe bike looks so clean and new looking. the can look great. So you used, to us in the US the YZF exhaust (early 1995 to I guess 1998) did you have any problems with the front fairing and the down pipes fiting.

I had no problems with fitting - the only issue was the bracket at the rear of the frontpipes didn't line up, so I made another. It did touch the fairing slightly at one point but I lined the fairing at that point with heatproof ally/asbestos type material and had no problems in the brief time the fairing remained.
PS - the bikes about to get cleaner still as I've ordered a new rear shock, so the swinger will be coming out the be enameled and I'm gonna get the wheel polished, repaint the caliper carrier etc.
