Yet another fzr build (con't from the archives)

Post by gooserex »

Thought i'd bring this thread over to fzronline, http://www.fzrarchives.com/ipb/index.ph ... opic=32167.

Hopefully the temperature will drop a bit soon since 37c /w humidex means that my garage is about 47c /w humidex screwy , lost the whole weekend on wrapping up this build. Some pics below of some of the odds and ends installed and progress made on the final touches.

New headlights (some how lucked out in finding both a left and right headlight on ebay)
Image

Brand new carb boots
Image

Fork caps, because my old ones looked like the previous owner took a angle grinder to them .. screwy
Image

Factory Pro nickel plated emulsion tubes
Image

Also installed RaceTech .95 fork springs, headlight socket covers and a ton of new grommets and oe bolts, washer and nuts...

Cheers

Heh, with a new job (2+ months in now) and being the sole driver in a 2 kid family I have found my time to get in the garage and work on the bike had been pretty nill up until just awhile ago, that and our CRAPPY winter ending with 220+ CM of snow screwy , but things are flying now and my new job has allowed for a renewed financial investment into building this bike to exactly what I wanted it and that in itself has given me some new found motivation, that and the fact that I wanna ride it this summer!

Just get that bike on the road before it gets to f*ing hot to ride. RRBike
It's already to hot to ride around here, it was 90f but 105f /w humidex, and I refuse to ride in anything less the jeans, my sidi boots and a leather jacket... :thumbsdown :thumbsdown

Last picture I took of the bike it didn't look like much of a bike, I guess it's about time I got one. I'll post one up soon!

In the mean time, I didn't even know this showed up today at lunch but I didn't hear the door bell, so I had to go pick it up from the post office a lill before 9pm.
Image

Bloody MINT condition (NOS actually), it had been sitting on a shelf since 05.
Image

Sh*tty part is that I have a stripped screw on the old one, so it's going to be a bit of work to get this new one on, but man will it look nice.

cheers!
