looks like he did a nice job, but why use the fzr casing and gearbox, just swap out the whole yzf engine. i probably would have gone with usd forks, but otherwise some nice mods.

He had the front sprocket re-welded after it broke in two?

Heh..that's Griffen's (from the archives) bike. I think that motor is a 660. Not too long after he finished putting the bike back together is when Spyder did his swinger swap. That's the direction i would go but that's just me. That's a great example of a sleeper. Awesome bike build.

That's the 660 arrangement - the longer stroke of the FZR with the larger bores of the YZF. It's not a pure bolt-up, but it's pretty damn close, and quite effective. Do a quick search; there's a few how-to write-ups.

I just dont understand why he just didnt use an 05 636 front sprocket.. Its got the 10mm offset you need to move the chain out for alignment. I ended up shaving mine down 2mm to 8mm for perfect elignment.. idk banghead
