honestly, I have no idea.
I think the previos owner said there is about 19K miles on it...i believe iv put 3K onto it since.

as for the valve clearance...no idea what the hell that means...or if change would happen over night just sitting...

pulled the fuel tank and drained it.
then ran the bike without the tank for about 10 min until it finally died and all the fuel was burned up.
then stuck some fresh normal octane like I usually us in it...still runs shitty.
I then spent about 1.5 hours syncing my carbs again (they needed it)...it sounded better, but its not...
the only way I can discribe the sound the bike gives off, is its a chirping sound kinda like the sv1000....
my bikes power is crap and has very slow acceleration, but does run on idle unlike if I were only running on 3 cylinders.

next thing to check is the stator...

I'd check the resistance on the ignition coils. Seems as if one of them is going bad. If it was the stator or pick up coil the bike probably would not even start

well. after about a week of wining and freaking, I finally found the bug.
a long time ago my fan was cutting into my third coil cord and it ripped a nice chunk from it and left only two of the small was inside still connected...I fixed the problem then by just putting electrical tape around it tightly...
I guess the bumps shook everything loose and there was only one wire in the cord connected now and none others were touching so it was causing poor spark.
since I do not have another set of coils handy, I took about 1" of bare standered house grade wire and shuved it into the cord on both sides of the opening so it would have a full connection.
I road the bike right after and my power is back but the bike is still acting weird. I think it might be because I synced my while the bike was having the problem.
right now im gonna head back to the shop and sync them again and install the 'new' T fuel carb connector thingy which I MUST THANK ROB (Cad) FOR!!! THANKS MAN!!! I didnt even have to pay for the shipping! thanks again rob!
IOU!

I pulled the carbs again and installed the new fuel plug thing and took the carbs apart and checked everything to make sure nothing was clogged. I found I have 115 mains and 525 pilots.
I also turned my mixture screws in another 1/4 turn to lose the richness, but it didnt change anything.
I cant seem to get the thing synced.
I have it synced at normal low idle, but if the idle rises at all then then one side just shoots up in the bottle...I dont get it.
I need new coils...and new plugs..

once Im not $1400 in debt, then I can get some stuff to get my bike running again...running good I should say...

i wish I had the money to drop it off at R&B motorcycles for them to solve/fix the problem...Im just to ignorant to fix the damn thing

Shred, no doubt you have been through a lot trying to sort out your issues. But one thing that keeps entering my mind after I read through this thread is your needle and seats in your carbs. Is it possible you have one or more that are worn and thereby are allowing more fuel to flow when you don't really need it. And the joslying ride in which you described early on in this thread might of lossened some debris in your float bowls, fuel tank that has since lodged itself between the needle and seat.? I don't know either but it's just another idea that doesn't look to have been discussed to this point.

i pulled the carbs completly apart las night and checked everything but found nothing.
Im gonna try new plugs next, THEN sync the carbs...I still might have weak spark...there is one coil cord that is almost ripped in half and one of the green copper wires inside are holding it together and alot of electrical tape.
coils are fine, the plug cords are not. so I need new coils.

Hi there.
Green copper is stuffed copper.
Copper goes green and black colour when water has reacted with the copper.
Electricity travels on the surface of copper and only a lesser amount through the centre so darkened copper is high resistance copper.
This travelling on the outside is the reason why high quality speeker cable is made up multiple fine wires giving more surface area and hence less loss of signal.
Better get the leads replaced pronto.

115 mains seem a lil big. I know people running 115 mains on pods.
