did you just drain the bowls or did you clean the gunk in them? if you just drained them and put the fresh fuel in, and even if you cleaned the gunk out of the jets and didn't clean the walls of the float bowls, then the new gas will soften up the gunk in the bowls and reclog the jets. Also, there are more tiny passages in the carbs that could be clogged, not just the jets.

actually i would advise against that unless you know exactly what you are doing, to put the carbs in carb dip they have to completely disassembled..completely, and if it's not something you have done before then i wouldn't do it, because you will need some help by someone who does a lot of carbs. If i were you, i would get some cotton swabs and spray carb cleaner, keep the carb cleaner away from the rubber diaphragms on the other side of the carbs, the carb cleaner will eat holes in the diaphragms, actually keep it away from all rubber and you will be safe. Take the diaphragms out and be careful with them, put them out of the way while you're working with the carb cleaner, then go to work on the carbs, clean everything. Hopefully you have some guitar strings, or have a friend that plays, the high E string is perfect for cleaning the small jets and tiny openings in the carbs. ANd use the swabs to clean everything inside of the carbs until it looks clean enough, if you cant scrub off the gunk with the swabs then it won't come off with gas, so it will be fine. After this you should be fine.

We actually did take the carbs apart and clean all the nasty gunk, my friend has much experience with carbs and helped me do it. I managed to lose one of the tiny o-ring seals.... Luckly a $5 seal not a $20 seal... Anyway,i think all the passages maybe didn't get cleaned, or when we first sent the fuel through the fuel pump, the fuel pump had shit in it, so that went strait to the carbs...

if your friend knows what he's doing, then buy some carb dip, it's like $20, and completely disassemble everything, dip them and put them back together. What i did when i dipped mine is i put each carb in the dip, and put my bench grinder on top of the carb dip lid, then held it down with bungee straps. It vibrates all of the junk off of the carbs, and the cool thing is doing that, then doing another carb just by putting it in the carb dip with no vibration, then compare the difference, you can visually see the difference between the two carbs. it's like a poor mans sonic carb cleaning machine.

Yea, we did it with carb cleaner, that's what i'm saying, we already pulled the carbs apart and everything, dipping everything in the cleaner but the rubber shit. So we are going to try it again and clean them PERFECT. I think the problem resides in the flywheel though.
