Re: clutch help
Welcome. Slave cylinder? The FZR600 uses a clutch cable and the FZR1000 uses a hydraulic clutch..which bike are you referring to?

Re: clutch help
My manual doesn't actually say how much travel it should have but 1/8th is not very much. You've tried bleeding it out? Does the lever have feel to it? Or can you pull it in fairly easy? Might be time for a rebuild of the cylinders (master and/or slave).

Re: clutch help
Sounds like the slave is going out or good cleaning is needed.
Re: clutch help
theres between 1/8-1/4 travel but no real force. the handle pulls solid, feels like it should. i have bled it several times, no leaks.
thanks for the help.

Re: clutch help
OMG!!! How long should it really take to bleed a clutch???!!! spent 1 1/2 hrs already and there is still small bubbles!

Re: clutch help
LOL..The bleeding can take a good while. I use a MityVac vacuum pump. Took me probably 10 minutes the last time I bled my clutch.

that the bike and let it get warm, rev it some, turn it off and let it sit for a few hours, or even a day, you will get ALOT of air out that way, as the vibrations will help th eair filter to the ends of the lines.
you could also have a bad vac or bleeder line

Re: clutch help
Sounds like the fibres were not soaked in oil prior to fitting. If the shop did them for you hope they are not charging you for refix.
