bar ends, how do the attach? my clip on tubes are smooth and bare inside, i dont get it. the ends on mine have threads and obviously arent threaded in, they are just stuck in there.

Aftermarket bar ends..

Notice the allen head screw going through it and the rubber at the other end? Well, slide them in and the tighten the screw. It will then compress the rubber making the side expand which will then hold it in place.
Threaded bar ends are usually threaded into threaded bars....However, there will be times where the after market rubber mount bar end just doesn't fit inside a threaded bar and then some, non thinking person will go and grind down the threads...
