well put those sliders on a while then. get a set of race rails.. its not a full cage but its 100,000 x's stronger then a slider will ever be.

abs, you don't need no damn frame sliders. lube the sides with some crisco and you'll slide just fine without them. 
if protection is your utmost concern, go with the race rails. they protect much better than a frame slider can. i personally opt for neither, track or street. luckily, i've never dropped a street bike. my track bike seemed to be attracted to grass.
