my dynojet kit was $96, with the new needle, drill bits, and it also comes with 5 or 6 other jet sizes that you can choose from.

and you shouldn't need gaskets unless your carbs are old. Your float bowl gaskets might be flat

they will be around $75-$150
look at some dynojet.com or factorypro.com

no gaskets needed.

all your doing with a jet kit is replacing the jets (screw right in) and needle (sits right in)
if your getting a stage 3 then drilling the slides to fit the larger needle is required.
the bit comes with the kit. You might have to buy new emulsions tubes also.

true shred, but if he takes the float bowls off and the seals are gone, then it could leak when he puts it back together, as far as the emulsion tubes, they need a really good inspection to see if they do or don't need to be replaced. Mine were fine when I jetted my carbs, so they don't always need to be repalced

D,
where did you get your pods from? Are they individuals or just two with two inlets?

Shred makes a good point about the emulsion tubes. Depending on the age of the bike and/or carbs you might want to replace them. Factory Pro sells a set that are nickle plated and will last a lot longer than the stock brass ones. Only draw back is they're 100 bucks by themselves. You won't know about the gaskets until you get in there as well. I've seen a few gasket kits for FZR 600 carbs on ebay lately. You could try there or bike bandit or cyclepartswarehouse.com for them as well. As far as the cost for the kits...You can find Dynojet jet kits on ebay for less than 100 bucks. Factory pro as well. The brand is really more of your choice. Both brands supply what's needed to rejet the carbs.

Hope that helps

depends what kit you get. most will requiring drilling.
Kits will come with two drill bits. one for drilling out the mixture screw caps, and one for drilling the slides

True statement ^^^. Are you speaking from experience? IDK
I didn't have to drill anything with my Dyno kit, but it said too, though! Just plug and play and my baby purrs like a cat. No issues at all in any power band range. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't think it's needed.

drilling isn't exactly "required" but I would. All it does is allow the slides to move up earlier and faster so that your main jets start flowing fuel earlier than they did stock. If you don't do it there won't be any adverse affects, you would mainly be able to tell a difference on the dyno around 2 - 3k rpm, and you would probably tell a difference if you rode the bike jetted, pulled the carbs off, drilled the slides and then rode it again. But if you're happy the way it is, I wouldn't change it.

what stage was your dynojet? i would expect dynojet kit to need drilling, but if yours slid right in, then good!
drilling isnt hard anyways if its needed...the slide is plastic.

but yea, DEMO.
just hope you dont need gaskets and/or emulsion tubes...
I heard a complete gasket set for just ONE carb is about $60-$80... :yikes:
thats just what nate said he bought his for though...

$125 - jet kit
$100 - tubes
$240 - gaskets
total = $465

just don't nick the diaphragms with the drill bit..that would suck. Those things are over $100 a piece

I think you misunderstood. Carb seal kits are $72+shipping on ebay for all 4 carbs. I never bought any. I have a spare set of carbs so I didn't need to buy new seals. Not worth 80 to me when you can get used carbs on ebay for 100 or so that probably have decent seals.
