Heh,

It's not really time for an update yet although I have been collecting some more parts *cough* Radial Master Cylinder *cough*. I got another camera for my birthday so I was testing out how it does video (turns out it's really really crappy) and I felt like making some noise in the neighborhood since I'm just running an open header at the moment.

Nice. What else do yo have planned for her?

Radial Master Cylinder can only mean one thing!!!!!
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Something is lurking, waiting, wanting to be built......It calls to me from the darkness....

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel....Then I realize that it is the train coming to run my ass over....

Haha. Well it's not a front end swap. I'm swapping out the 6 pots for a set of 4 pot R6 blue spots and I have a 07 R6 16x18 radial master to go with them. Stainless lines front and rear. A rear master that has an internal reservoir to clean up the rear a little more. Still having a mental debate about rear sprockets and i'm trying to justify spending supersprox money or not. Exup header and (modified for sound) stock pipe is going in place of the Yoshi system on it now. That should allow the power band to be a lot much more linear. It's not fun having a bike with that much power that "wakes up" when you aren't expecting it. Once I do some more tuning on the carbs it should be very predictable as when it comes to the power. The forks will get new heavier oil-probably 20w. Trying to locate a YZF750 rear shock for it. Once that's done i'll get the 158mm dog bones made for it. With the Dunlop Roadsmarts mounted on it should be a fun bike. As far as cosmetics are concerned: Polishing the lips of the wheels (and also changing the color of them to gunmetal) and blacking out the center of the brake rotors is all I have planned so far as painting it will be the very last thing I do. This is restomod rebuild so It's going to keep it's original body lines. No tail swaps or anything like that. At this point though I just want to get it road ready for spring and summer. Getting a little tired of sharing the Z750 with the old man.

So...been a while since there was any kind of real update....I'm a slacker...I know. I have been collecting parts though. I have an EXUP header waiting to go on as soon as I can get the cables to connect it to the servo. I also have a stock muffler as well (I'll probably modify it for sound to make it a bit louder). R6 blue spots and an R6 Radial master cylinder for the front. YZF750R shock... just to name a few of what is waiting to be installed on it.

In the mean time, I've replaced the chain and sprockets: Went with 530 and the stock 17/47 gearing.

Repacked my Yoshimura pipe and gave it a bit of a polish.

This past weekend I got around to making a little carb synch tool and made an attempt at synching my carbs. Can you say canofworms ?
I went with the two glass bottle type tool and it worked well.

Like I said. The synching process went well. I was actually able to get the fluid to level in both bottles- in addition I was able to get the fluid to stop moving all together after leveling in the bottles while the bike was running. Doing this seems to have helped my richness problem a bit and the bike is much smoother from around 3500-4000RPM all the way up to red line. It also made what little low end the bike had pretty much go away. :swear Think of the in the way of extreme turbo lag....you go from barely moving to "Oh my god I'm going too fast" in just a few seconds. This is more than likely directly related to not having the exup header in place since these motors are set up to essentially need it to operate properly. Oh well I'll keep plugging away at it.

Just for kicks heres a pic of my modded airbox

By the way.... :yutugh2:

drill the holes for more airflow?
you should re-direct your ram air tubes to go into you airbox...
the only reason I dont do it, is because if it rains, then you get alot of rain going in there..lol...

btw, you can peel the labels off the starbucks bottles...makes it easier to view the levels.

I drilled 4 times 25mm holesaw holes 70mm apart two on each side of the centre divider in the top of snout then cut them into ovals. There is also a rubber seal piece above air filter if standard that you can trim until inner filter size.Ran before and after on dyno.Horsepower remains the same until 8thou then 2hp greater afterwards until redline.
Mine was running rich prior to cutting though.

Try that.
